Charities
StarCity loves to be a socially conscious business. That’s why we have committed ourselves to donate 5% of our profits from each move to a charity of our clients’ choice. Our donations are benefitting a wide array of charitable organizations; from local hospitals that are committed to help children to national ones that help fight breast cancer to global ones that help developing communities- we are dedicated to help as many people as we possibly can!
All of the groups we work with have a Charity Navigator rating of 4 stars (the highest); showing how well it functions day to day (organization efficiency), in addition to how well it has sustained its programs and services over time, and whether it can continue to do so, even if it loses support or faces broad economic downturns (organizational capacity).
We allow each of our clients to choose which fund they would like to support. Check out our List of Participating Charities section to better acquaint yourself with the charities and their missions.
Before your move, StarCity will ask you to pick the charity you would like to support- it will receive the 5% donation. In addition to our List of Participating Charities, StarCity will gladly donate to any charity that appears on www.Charity Navigator.com (with a 3 star rating or greater). If you have no preference, we will automatically donate to our Featured Charity of the Month. At the end of every month, StarCity sums up the total donations per charity and mails them checks for the applicable amounts.
