Your intial point of contact at StarCity is your moving coordinator. He/she will devote themselves to provide you with valuable feedback amd make sure to promptly answer any questions you may have. Your coordinator will also:
If necessary, a StarCity in-home estimator will visit your residence. The in-home estimator will carefully assess your belongings to come up with a more exact inventory list. He/she will also examine the physical condition of your possessions to try to determine any pre-existing damages. The estimator will seek to determine whether any items will require special packing and/or handling. Finally, he/she will hand you out a booklet detailing your rights and responsibilities as mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Administration (FMCSA) for interstate moves and applicable state’s department of transportation for local moves.
Receive binding estimate and order for service form (along with associated inventory list). You should receive a binding estimate and order for service form from StarCity within 48 hours of your in-home moving estimate. It is in your best interest to review the forms carefully and send them back signed once you’re ready to proceed.
Once StarCity receives the signed moving forms, your coordinator will reserve your moving date, truck and crew.
